Four Countries, Five Cities
During June and July 2017, Solo Films was commissioned by our buddies in Hong Kong, Lime Content Studios, to collaborate on a wonderful project for the Hyatt Group. Having just launched the “World of Hyatt” campaign , the Hyatt group, through Advertising and Marketing agency, Golin Hong Kong was ready to launch a regional campaign. Four vignettes were produced, with each one following a Key Opinion Leader [KOL] as they were placed in environments outside their comfort zone and asked to experience something new.
We filmed in Tokyo, Beijing, Singapore, Hong Kong and the ancient Chinese city of Li Jiang. Just like the locations, each story was completely different and the results have been outstanding for the Hyatt Group at the release of the campaign. The production was not without challenges, we had limited access to the locations prior to production, we had limited crew [which was a blessing] which meant we could be more agile and we only met the talent the day prior to filming. All that aside, we were able to capture some wonderful moments…some planned and some not so.
